The band is currently on the road, hitting the festival circuit in Europe and South America. We are very sad to report the death of Klaus Dinger, who died suddenly of heart failiure three days before his 62nd birthday on March 21th 2008.
 
Dinger formed Neu! with Micheal Rother in 1971, releasing three seminal albums: Neu!, Neu 2! and Neu 75!
 
His landmark drumming style on these records, a propulsive almost surf-like repetitious groove defined the term 'motorik' and has had a profound influence on a huge range of artists such as David Bowie, Radiohead, Damon Albarn, Primal Scream, Stereolab and Brian Eno.
 
The burial took place amongst a private circle of family and friends. He will be greatly missed.

MACHINE forged its sound over two Bukowski-like years in London.  Dragging a laptop and guitar between sofa's and squats, becoming immersed  in a cast of artists and villains across the city.  The project finally crashed into an intense residence at the infamous Fortress Studios, Shoreditch in 2006. 

Despite bad blood and personality disorders, a handful of outstanding pop songs emerged -  swinging from cinematic beauty to Killing-Joke-beating-on-Blondie malevolence.

For anyone who has been lucky enough to see the Norwegian singer/song writer live before will know to expect... melodic songs performed with an infectiously youthful energy paying tribute to influences as wide as 80s pop to Brazilian folk music. After an exclusive secret show in Shoreditch last night, the forthcoming Scala gig will mark Sondre’s proper return to the UK stage. A limited and enthusiastic audience witnessed the secret show where he showcased much of his material from new album ‘Phantom Punch’. Translating effortlessly from record to live performance the show indicated great things for the album and the up coming dates.

 

 

Having previously been best known for jazz and folk influences Phantom Punch is something of a departure from his usual style and seems to be embracing much more rock based conventions with a collection of sharp, punchy tracks, all fast chord changes and killer hooks performed with a sincerity way beyond his twenty four years.

 

 

Having received praise for his smooth vocals and exceptional song writing as well as accolades such as of a Norwegian Grammy for Spellemanprisen in 2002 Lerche is a formidable live and recording talent. Rising above his peers with his sheer scope of influence and affection for his craft he is undoubtedly one to watch. Make the most of him while he’s in the UK!

It seems no surprise then that after extensive touring and handful of supports with Badly Drawn Boy, Radio 4 and The Infadels, the band are quickly being touted as promising prospect for 2007.

Now, the Reading outfit return with their brilliant second single ‘The Ousider Steps Inside' which hopes to follow in the foot steps of the now collectible debut, this 7” also features ‘My Idiot Fix’ on the B-Side.

Two years in fact, since the timeless tracks such as Country Cassette, Mrs Pilling... and The Diary Fire invited us to experience the rich and strange Orkadian world conjured by that of its brain child Kevin Cormack.

Now, Cormack and Co, return from the wilderness with another set of tales from the Scottish Isles that are sure to be witch and be beguile both fans and newcomers alike. Entitled 'Iodine' the new album introdues a variety of new character's amongst a windswept journey through junk percussion, wonky electronics and intricate folk stylings that make for a cohesive, slow burning often cinematic set.
