We are very sad to report the death of Klaus Dinger, who died suddenly of heart failiure three days before his 62nd birthday on March 21th 2008.

Dinger formed Neu! with Micheal Rother in 1971, releasing three seminal albums: Neu!, Neu 2! and Neu 75!

Consequence Music is the debut album from Dextro, aka 27 year-old Glaswegian Ewan Mackenzie. “Dextro is a Latin word that literally means ‘right hand side’, and has connotations relating to being sly and skilful,” he says. “I don’t profess to being sly and skilful, but I like the idea of the word suggesting the idea of the ‘right side’, the good side.” Dextro indeed lies on the right side of the force and constructs fine electronic music that is both warm and emotive. His beautifully structured, highly melodic and richly layered electronica that - while making nods to heroes Brian Eno, Neu and Phillip Glass, and recalling more contemporary artists such as Ulrich Schnauss, Boards Of Canada and Mogwai - is distinctly his own. Featured by the mighty Bleep.com as one of their album's of the week, the record is set to win over fans of richly layered electronic music everywhere.

"... aspires to the windswept upperslopes of ambient grandeur where Sigur Ros or Mogwai might pitch camp." Uncut

"... an album that combines the electronics of BOC and the guitar crescendos of Mogwai with a touch of My Bloody Valentine's 'Loveless'." 4/5 DJ Magazine

" ...a narcoleptic dreamworld of lush, orchestrated ambient soundscapes. Highly Recommended." Rocksound

" A significant and exciting addition to , by definition, a bold and experimental field, 'Consequence Music' is a tender yet energising classic. Clash Magazine

<theID:id>115</theID:id><showHome:fPage>False</showHome:fPage>
Roedelius

Yes – it’s true: The legendary Cluster duo of Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Dieter Moebius re-unite for their first live shows in eleven years. The results of which are are no more than apparent on the forthcoming EP 'Hearts and Minds' which will feature remixes from Arkham, Alias and Clark.

The full EP, released initially online April 2nd, will only be available in full from our friends at Bleep.com who continue to support the Scotsman's output. The EP minus the Clark remix will be available everywhere else online and all four tracks will be pressed on to limited 12" which will then be released on April 30th.

Dextro has also just confirmed a gig with Amon Tobin at the Electric Ballroom, London on April 11th. For fans of sweeping and atmospheric electronic sounds with inventive and engaging beats this night is a must!

An incredibly diverse debut that contains tracks such as Many Weathers Apart, Engine Heart, Lotus and Blues Became and that stand tall today despite being unavailable for the best part of the millennium.

The record has been remastered, repackaged and remixed, albeit with a few amendments including a slight change to the track listing. The reissued album is also accompanied by a second disc containing previously unheard versions of songs taken from the original recording sessions and various remixes.
